On April 6, Brad N6BHT, John AC6SL, JV K6HJU, and Kerry K3RRY replaced the 6- meter antenna at the repeater site. During the team effort Kerry removed the old antenna and John and JV installed the replacement. Initial testing by Brad, who also heads the technical committee, showed great signal improvement, but more testing is needed.
Update: JV says coverage to downtown Santa Cruz is better on 6 meters than on 2 meters. Brad has provided close-up photos of the new antenna.
